Mel is a super sweet easy going gal. She has been at the farm since November 2025. Mel did retire with a few knee chip fractures that were successfully removed at Mid-Atlantic on 10/18/2025.​

​

Mel is finished rehab and ready to begin a new career. She has NOT been restarted since rehab due to winter hitting hard.

​

Mel stands on cross-ties for grooming, clipping and the farrier. She is UTD on Coggins and Vaccines. Mel is currently in the transition stage of being barefoot, and is doing very well! Mel has good ground manners and easy to catch outside. She enjoys being loved on and givin' nose kisses :)

 

Mel has no other injuries and no vices. Mel is not "mare-ish" and gets along with everyone in the barn. She is currently turned out in a small group of mares.
